Christmas 2012 (still catching up!)

Well, I am on a roll.  I just finished with our Fall 2012 post, and now I am on to Christmas 2012.  I'm hoping to get this one finished before J wakes up from nap, and be one step closer to our present day!  We have a little boy that just turned 4 years old around here, and I need to get to all of the birthday fun!  But first, here is our past Christmas.  This Christmas was A LOT of fun!  With Jackson being 3 this year, he really "got" the whole Santa thing.  We also got our very own Elf from the North Pole!  Whom, Jackson immediately named Woody (after his beloved Toy Story movies!)  He's part of the "Elf on the Shelf" series, which I highly recommend!  That sneaky little Elf quickly got to work, making all kinds of mischief around our house and bringing the occasional treat from Santa. :)  As always, NayNay and Grandaddy came and stayed Christmas Eve night with us, and my family came over on Christmas morning for our annual Christmas morning pajama breakfast!  We have done this for the past four years and I hope that it's a tradition we continue!  Overall, we just had a great time getting together with family and celebrating the birth of our Savior!
We got a train to go around our tree this year and Jackson LOVED it!

In case you can't tell ;)

Trying to capture the perfect photo for our Christmas card...which, with these two subjects, isn't always an easy task! ;)

On one of our trips down to Folkston, we went over to Benpa & Mema McCullough's house and made gingerbread houses with all of the cousins: Caleigh, Caroline, Ella and Olivia!  Or, as Jackson calls them, "The Girls".  These girls are so good to him, entertain him for hours and spoil him rotten!  They had so much fun making these, and I think J did a pretty good job for a 3 year old!  Maybe he has a little of my creativity? :)

He was mostly interested in eating it :)

The finished products!

Woody up to his mischief!  Jackson thought it was HILARIOUS that he hung his "big boys" all over the Christmas tree! :)

We mourned the loss of the Dawgs to the Tide in the SEC Championship, but refused to take off our stickers the next morning.  True fan right there. ;)

My handsome Hubbs and I headed out to my work Christmas party, which was such a fun night!

Leah & I at the Christmas party....love my sissy! :)

J loved the train at Bass Pro, but refused to sit with Santa!  I really think that those crying Santa photos are adorable, but I was scared that he may hurt Santa in the middle of throwing his full-on-freak-out hissy fit. ;)

Oh well, maybe next year?

Decorating the tree :)

Santa dropped off his goodies!

Sweet boy, sound asleep on Christmas Eve...while visions of sugar plums danced in his head :)

Christmas morning, 2012!

He LOVES his tractor!

Sweet Walker with his Christmas present from Mimi & Papa :)

Sound asleep on Christmas night with all of his new buddies :)

That's our Christmas 2012 in pictures!  For anyone that knows me, I live for Christmas!  I love the sense of tradition, family, merriness and holiness that it brings.  It truly is the "most wonderful time of the year!" :)

Now, someone is awake from nap, so no more blogging for today.  But, hopefully soon I can catch up with our Spring and get to our present day!  We are on Summer break and having so much fun!  Jackson's big birthday party is coming up this weekend and we are in full-on party mode around here.  For now, we're headed outside to play in the pool.  Ahhhh....sweet summertime. :)
